His clinical experience includes inpatient psychiatric care, crisis stabilization, neurology, and medical-surgical nursing, giving him a broad perspective on the interaction between psychiatric and medical conditions.
His clinical areas of focus include depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, ADHD, and substance use disorders, with a thoughtful, individualized approach to understanding each patient's symptoms, history, circumstances, and goals.
Approach to Care
Damilola's approach to psychiatric care is collaborative, evidence-based, and individualized. He takes time to understand the person behind the symptoms and works with each patient to develop a treatment plan that reflects their needs and goals.
When medication is appropriate, he explains treatment options clearly, including potential benefits and risks, and follows patients closely to understand how they respond over time. Depending on the individual's needs, care may also include supportive therapy, education, and practical strategies for managing symptoms.
What to Expect
An initial psychiatric evaluation provides an opportunity to discuss what has brought you to care, your current symptoms, medical and mental health history, medications, sleep, stressors, and other factors that may be relevant to your wellbeing.
Standardized questionnaires may be used to establish a baseline and help measure progress over time. Following the evaluation, Damilola will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan, which may include medication management, psychotherapy, behavioral strategies, further evaluation, or a combination of approaches.
The goal is straightforward: to provide thoughtful psychiatric care that is clinically grounded, personalized, and responsive to the person receiving it.
