Who can book

Children, adolescents, adults and older adults. You do not need a diagnosis, and you do not need to have worked out what is wrong before you arrive. Working that out is the job of the first appointment.

For anyone under 18, a parent or guardian books and attends. The first appointment includes time with the young person and time with the adult who brought them.

What to expect from care

Care at Stillmind is collaborative, thoughtful, and unhurried. Here is how we support you from your initial consultation through ongoing wellness:

  • Initial Psychiatric Evaluation. A comprehensive 60-minute diagnostic session to understand what has brought you to care, review your medical and mental health history, and clarify your treatment goals.
  • Clear Clinical Assessment. Standardized screening questionnaires may be used to establish a baseline and measure progress. When findings support a diagnosis, we explain it in plain language.
  • Collaborative Treatment Plan. Together, we develop a personalized plan which may include medication management, supportive psychotherapy, lifestyle and behavioral strategies, or a combination of approaches.
  • Ongoing Care and Follow-Up. Regular follow-up appointments allow us to evaluate treatment effectiveness, adjust dosages thoughtfully, and ensure care remains aligned with your wellbeing.

None of it has to be exact. If you cannot find a dose, or cannot remember the name of something you took four years ago, come anyway and bring what you have. That is a normal thing not to know.

Telehealth appointments

All appointments are conducted via secure telepsychiatry for patients located throughout Indiana. Consultations are scheduled by appointment only, with no walk-in hours.

Video appointments run the same length, cover the same clinical ground, and produce the same care notes as traditional in-office visits. They are open to anyone physically inside Indiana at the time of the visit. That is a licensing rule and not a preference. See telepsychiatry.

Insurance and self-pay

We accept major insurance plans including Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Indiana, Carelon Behavioral Health, Ascension / SmartHealth, Curative, Cigna, and Aetna. UnitedHealthcare and Oxford are currently on waitlist pending credentialing.

Transparent self-pay options are available for all services ($250 adult initial evaluation, $150 teen initial evaluation, $300 child initial evaluation, and $150 follow-up sessions). Self-pay patients receive a Good Faith Estimate in accordance with the No Surprises Act. The Good Faith Estimate notice explains your protections and how to request one.

If you cannot wait for an appointment
